Working on edge detection and front wheels!

Ok,

We have the turning and sensing objects done, now we are working on the edge detecion so it doesnt fly off the edge and also getting the front wheel going so that we can have that extra boost going!

Robot done! and now for the coding!

We are getting the code working now. We have got this so far.

Its not working properly but it will be!

The new design!



Well here it is! Our new design....

We thing that if we keep a low powerful design we will be able to just plow the others off the board!


Changing my group and starting again now!

OK well Lance has been to lazy and so I have changed my partner in crime to be Charles and we will post photos of our new robot design today!

Ok well, today we found out that our robot likes to flip over when it drives into the others....

We are going to have to put a beam close to the ground to stop it doing this....

We have the battle tomorrow so it should be fun.

I dont think we have got the robot up to a winning standard but we might put up a fight....

Getting there.....

Well another day down in the life of robot sumo....

Havint to any pics today..

We have been building trying pulling apart and trying again and we just cant sem to get a design that can stand up to the others. We will get there in the end we just need ot think outside of the box I think.

Today we tryed putting the motors vertical and with a motor for the turning on the back. It is a bit high off the ground and doesnt seem to that the power that we would lke.

We will continue trying and keep the blog up to date!

First Day of design and building.

Well I started on my design today. my plan is to build it so it can drive on both sides.
